Event details

When: Thursday May 14, 2026 from 9am

Where: Parmelia Hilton, Boorloo (Perth) WA

Attendees will finish the seminar confident that they will able to identify when a possible native or cultural heritage matter may exist and the general procedure around dealing with this. It will provide a solid knowledge base for participants to begin to engage with the often-complex case law, legislation, and accompanying regulatory requirements surrounding these topics.

The seminar includes an opportunity to participate in discussion with a senior Whadjuk Noongar Traditional Owner about how rights and responsibilities to culture and Country are enacted within statutory and regulatory environments.

Participants will be provided with take-home resources providing further information on topics covered during the seminar, referencing the examples and legislations mentioned. It will provide participants with a valuable resource for future reference.

Our aim is that participants will be able to return to their organisations equipped with both technical understanding and on-ground perspective, able to ensure compliance with legal requirements and better equipped to support the self-determination of Traditional Owners.
